Gownsee & Nicko’s tropical wedding at Loulu Palms on Oahu was one that I will never forget! From their breathtaking island-inspired florals to their tearful wedding vows, everything about their day was perfect. There is one thing, however, that stood out to me in particular. It was their ability to create and enjoy quiet moments together on the busiest (and perhaps most stressful) day of their lives.
The first moment might be controversial, but when it comes to a first look, I am all about it!! Enjoying a private first look before their wedding ceremony allowed Gown and Nicholas to really take in the moment, share an impulsive kiss, give a cheer, and even shed a tear! It gave Nicko time to look at every detail of Gown’s dress, and for Gown to finally ask the burning question: “Well, what do you think?”
The second moment came after the family photos. Once Gown and Nicholas receded back down the aisle and their family all lined up for photos, the real work began. Smiling in the hot sun, exercising patience as uncles try to stand in a straight line, making sure every shot on the list gets a checkmark next to it. It can be exhausting! So why not sneak a way for a moment before you jump into cocktail hour? For Gown and Nicholas, this meant stealing away to the hammock under the Loulu Palm trees for some quick cuddles and time to reflect on their new titles of husband and wife!
The third moment is probably the most popular among brides and grooms: the sunset photoshoot. After just the right amount of dinner settles into your stomachs, you get to slip away from your reception while everyone else is just getting started. Enjoying a sunset beach walk during your Oahu wedding reception is the perfect way to catch your breath and soak in your day. The sunset on Gownsee & Nicko’s wedding day was absolutely breathtaking, I am so glad we got to capture it!
With all of those special moments in their hearts, Gownsee and Nicko were able to party even harder at their Oahu wedding reception! They had the energy they needed, they had enjoyed every moment and had already spent time together reflecting on the joy they felt together. Thank you, Gown and Nicholas, for letting me be a part of your day!
