Working with young families is one of my favorite things to do! Each child has their own personality, and helping them to share a genuine smile is so important to me! My hope with this post is to help you on your next photoshoot to help your toddler smile even bigger on your next beach family photoshoot!
Whether you are standing up or sitting on the ground, gently tossing them into the air is a great way to get some beautiful smiles from them!
This is especially helpful if you want some solo shots of your young child. When we can’t tickle them or blow raspberries on their cheeks, singing their favorite song is a sure way to help them light up!
If a child is starting to get tired or frustrated during a family photoshoot, I love to have the parents give their children “rapid fire kisses.” It can help them to forget about the camera staring them in the face and remember how much fun it is to have silly parents!
If you are on the hunt for a family photographer in Oahu, Hawaii, look no further! Working with families of all ages, I have hundreds of tricks up my sleeve to help everyone share a real smile during the session. I can’t wait to see you for your family photos in Oahu!
